Rethinking Descartes's Substance Dualism, par Lynda Gaudemard

In her book, Lynda Gaudemard argues that Descartes’s position regarding the mind-body relationship is a kind of creationist substance emergent dualism’s view, according to which mind is a non-material substance which is created by God, but which cannot function without a well disposed or properly configured bodies. This kind of emergentism, which is compatible with creationism, has advantages over traditional substance emergentist dualism defended by Hasker.
